I am a second career teacher and I have been teaching for fourteen years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I served as Tennessee's 2015 Tennessee Teacher of the Year. I currently serve as Hope Street Group Fellow for Tennessee as well. In 2007 I became a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Childhood. I currently teach 3rd grade at Winridge Elementary School in Memphis, Tennessee. Since attending Project Zero at Harvard in 2012, I am passionate about creating a culture of thinking in our classroom and helping students develop a love of learning and problem solving. In my spare time I love to read, garden and spend time with my 8 month old twin grandchildren.
