I am the Advisor for Shelby County Schools' CLUE (Creative Learning in a Unique Environment) program for Intellectually Gifted and Academically Talented students, grades PreK--9. My passion is to identify all students who meet the criteria as intellectually gifted and academically talented, especially those in underrepresented populations, and then to provide for them outstanding services that will challenge them, support them, and enhance the education they receive in both special and regular education courses. It is equally important to me to educate everyone in our community about identification and characteristics of the academically talented and gifted and the best strategies possible to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of these students.
